British Airline

After the First World War, a great historical change in the transportation field occur and with the help of new invention and technologies the first Aircraft Transport and Travel (AT&T), was launched that offers for the very first time in the history of world daily basis international scheduled air service. Initially it started with the aircraft transport services from London to Paris. Just after the time period of five years some new airlines entered into the market while offering their aircraft transportation services within Britain. Later in 1924, the four most popular and well established airlines of the Britain merged together into one larger company known as Imperial Airways offering flights all around the British Empire. The airlines that were merged together to form this this biggest airline of the Britain includes: Handley Page, Instone, AT&T, and British Air Marine Navigation.

With the passage of time the Imperial Airways grew more and more in size and popularity and at last turned to be a forerunner of a modern airline that offers their aircraft transportation services all around the world including countries like Canada and Australia. The Imperial Airways become a trend setter in the aircraft transportation industry not only in Britain but all over the world. The airline gave a tough competition to all the giant and successful airlines in the airline industry globally. Due its extra ordinary services, highly equipped and advanced aircrafts, reasonable transportation charges, on time flights, and all over world flights make it possible for the Imperial Airways to compete effectively and successfully with the other airline operating during the phase.

Later in 1935, one more rival arrived in the British airline history with the establishment of British Airways Ltd. The British Airways Ltd came into existence as a result of a merger of various small privately owned companies. Just before the Second World War broke out in 1939, the British Government announced the nationalization two of the leading British airlines and created a new, government owned airline agency called to be the British Overseas Airways Corporation, in short which was called BOAC. Finally in 1949, BOAC was separated into two separate entities that are British European Airways and BOAC. British European Airways was supposed to carry out short haul flights within the European countries. On the other hand BOAC was meant responsible for overseas flights means aircraft transportation services to other parts of the world. The two airline services owned by British government served the world at the beginning of the jet age during the era of the 1950s. Due to their quality of services plus high quality and new aircrafts both of the airlines become top leading airlines of the British and gain more popularity globally because of its new innovations and advanced technology aircrafts to offer aircraft transportation services to its customers not only in British empire but all over the world.

During the phase of 1970s, as the fuel costs increased and other economical changes in the British empire and due to all this inefficient performance of the two companies that is British European Airways and BOAC, the British government decided to merge together two of the companies and hence in result the British Airways came into existence during the year 1976. The airline started its operations very successfully and adopted the strategy from day one to keep on doing advancement in the infrastructure of the airline and offer best quality and modernized aircrafts to offer aircraft transportation services to its customers globally.

Following the strategy in June 2010, the airline again presented their request in front of rhe British government to promote the overall infrastructure at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos so that it can participate in the success of the airline with its improved services to operate the flights to Lagos and especially the latest designed huge sized aircrafts. In order to do the marketing and promotion of the airline, the British Airways also own a special lounge with the British Airways title at the airport where the passengers can relax and enjoy their time while waiting for their flight to take off from the airport runway.
